See what I did there? Portal = door = pinto. Pinto is the Tagalog word for ‘door.’ True to its name, Pinto Art Museum is a compound of white adobe houses with endless doors connecting rooms after rooms of contemporary arts in all forms.
The gallery features works of incredible local artists. They were all carefully displayed in rooms that match the vibes of a certain art piece. What fascinated me the most was a dark room with erected bamboo branches and dried leaves that were scattered around the room’s floor. The room resonated with ambient music that sounded like a babbling brook. I closed my eyes whilst walking through the floor, delighted with every crackling sound of dried leaves I stepped on.
Pinto Art Museum is located at Silangan Gardens, 1 Sierra Madre Street, Antipolo City, Philippines and is open from Tuesdays to Sundays (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM).
